About her
I'm told I am a very kind, funny, compassionate person who is tactile and loving and loves to laugh. I love animals and wildlife, and spending time at the seaside or outdoors, and would love to find someone to share these passions with. I've always loved the sea and boating (I spent many years visiting the Norfolk Broads) I currently have a dog {* see below} but have had many cats over the years.
I'm creative in many ways, including painting, and am an avid reader with a bit of creative writing thrown in.
Unfortunately, my relationship status is 'complicated', because I currently live with someone. I met him too quickly on the rebound when my husband of 32 years left me for someone 25 years his junior.
My Partner has turned out to have significant mental issues which make him very verbally abusive at times, and I virtually live my life supposedly in a relationship, but in reality I'm a carer, on my own (although my son currently lives with us), and I miss having that emotional connection with someone who thinks about me when I'm absent, and looks forward to my company when I arrive home.
*We have a rescue dog, which is making it difficult for me to leave, as she gets scared of him when he's in a mood or has a meltdown.
I would like to meet someone on here who would be happy to chat for a while, and may give me the courage and impetus to leave if a relationship develops. I realise this is a big ask for anyone, so if this situation puts you off then fair enough. But I'm aware of my life ticking away, and I want someone who cares about me as much as I care about them instead of the loneliness I currently feel. After such a long marriage with someone I thought was my soulmate, I'm shocked to find myself in this current situation.

As beauty is in the eye of the beholder, I don't need an Adonis, just someone who is attractive to me, and I find that the kinder the eyes and the bigger the ...sense of humour, the more attractive he gets!!
I suppose my ideal partner would be intelligent, (with that aforementioned great sense of humour), kind, considerate and tactile, and up for a bit of adventure. A shared love of animals and nature would be great, as well as enjoying spending time in the garden. I'm a bit of a fair-weather gardener but love a well tended garden full of flowers.
I would want a man whose idea of a good time is to want to spend it with me, on whatever activity we decide on the day, but do have my own interests and friends however, and would expect you to have yours so I wouldn't expect to be in each other's pockets 24/7.
I suppose it all boils down to looking for my soulmate? Could you be it?
If you're a smoker then, sorry - it's your prerogative but it would put me off so I'll say no, thanks all the same.
