Spending summer alone is fine; but spending it getting to know someone new would be much more fun. I am an outdoor person at heart. I am as happy at home gardening as I am traveling the world. I love France and have several friends I visit over there. I have a keen desire to spend time in Italy in the not too distant future. India is somewhere I would like to visit too.
I draw and paint a little and I am about to take delivery of a potters wheel-----this has been a while getting here as I needed to make space in the garden shed!! I enjoy walking, swimming and any activity that keeps me outdoors.I think I am pretty fit for my age, (trounced both daughter in law and grand kids at 10 pin bowling over the weekend) I have one pet, a reasonably well behaved cat (if there is such a thing) and we are pretty attached to one another, I like dogs but she isn't keen. We compromise !
I am left wing in my politics and would prefer to meet someone similarly inclined.
I am definitely a romantic at heart and I love being given flowers; preferably from your garden or wildflowers !! I am generally pretty casual in my dress, but I do love the occasional opportunity to dress up. And despite what it originally said in my profile I don't wear black all the time. I like outdoor theatre and concerts and visiting beautiful gardens.

I would like to meet someone who would enjoy a similar lifestyle to mine. Gardening, walking, travelling,creativity. I have my own home and car and enjoy living on my own. I do not envisage a time when I would want to live permanently with another person.
