About him
Please - I do not do travel, never have, never will, not beyond a night away from home. Please do not imagine that anyone could change this.
I am perfectly happy for any partner to travel if they are OK travelling alone or with friends/family.
In short -
I like - fresh figs, the smell of creosote, listening to a nightingale on a still spring evening, fresh fruit salad, real coffee, cloudless starry skies, rock pools, the breathing of inquisitive cattle, the smell of fresh laundry, or the beach after a winter storm, or rain on sun-baked earth, or damp autumn leaves, or stored hay; and rich fruity reds. But most of all, I like intelligent female company.
Intelligent, endlessly curious, lover of the outdoors, the natural world.
I love to spend time listening to music, my tatse is almost boundless, but not as background, so speech radio is on all day here.
I love the sea, but I do not swim, although Rutland Water has to suffice most of the time, given where I live.
Lover of most foods and drinks (rich fruity reds and dessert wines being particular favourites, while I am no fan at all of the vast majority of very dry whites, including brut fizz).
Semi seco Cava and oysters, anyone?
I hate shopping, so most is done online, except groceries, which I like to see before I buy and to buy what looks good, what inspires me, and not work to any master plan.
The radio is on as long as I am not in bed, although it is my alarm in the morning. The TV is somewhere here........................ I just have to find it.
Originally from the Essex-Suffolk border, I would love to move house - no further north, but no limit east-west. That said, I have lived in S Devon and have no wish to regrow webbed feet; the SW may be mild, but wet it most certainly is.
I have lived my whole adult life in the countryside, or right next to it, and even from a very young age we were walking miles out of town, into woods and open countryside; I could never live in any urban/suburban setting. "Middle of nowhere" would suit me just fine.
