About him
I'm a kind, well-mannered and slightly old fashioned Englishman living in Montreal. I spent most of my childhood running free in the English countryside, on farms and in forests and then at boarding school in Sussex. I now live in Montreal, Canada where my two children were born (13yrs and 16yrs). I love the outdoors, country walks, picnics, the fresh air in all seasons. I like a good brisk walk and then a pint in the pub. I enjoy sailing, cycling, hiking and all round country life. Even though I live in the heart of the city, I always try to get out as much as I can, especially to walk. I like the theatre and art galleries. British TV is a must (thank you Britbox and Acorn TV) and the BBC. I also am a keen follower of politics and current affairs. Avid reader (and including Country Life as why else would I be on this site) I am a media and entertainment industry executive and travel regularly between Montreal, New York and London.

Well after unsuccessful dating attempts on the usual dating sites and apps I thought I have nothing to lose by hoping that there might me someone out there (at least on this side of the world) who, by reading CL magazine, may have a lot in common with me. Even being British themselves perhaps.... I know, a long shot but you never know. I really looking for someone who is fun, lively, kind and considerate, likes British television and British culture (and cuisine), a Sunday roast, fresh air, a walk with the dog/s (if you have one) and a pint in a pub next to a roaring fire. If you also like traveling to Maine, Vermont and New Hampshire then that's even more of a match.
I know putting my profile up here on this website when everyone else on it seems to be 5000km away in England, is a long shot but I like to be optimistic. I can't be the only Country Living magazine reader out there so I’ll be optimistic!
