About her
I have recently retired from work and would like to think that this will present new challenges and a bit more travelling. I went to Sicily earlier this year and would love to go to other parts of Italy. I intend to take up horseriding again which I last did about 25 years ago, see more films - we have a great arts cinema in Bury and I have taken the decision to cook properly rather than improvise. I enjoy cooking now but am not a great follower of recipes so the results are many and various. I intend to follow Jamie Oliver's advice more closely from now on! I am very dependent on music to be happy but not the challenging kind, more Beatles and Bruce Springsteen than Beethoven. I am a pretty laid back character but scrub up well and I enjoy going horse racing, both flat and jumping although never bet as I am useless at it. I enjoy good food but prefer a traditional pub to a fine dining experience (not that I've done much of that). I love North Norfolk and feel very happy just coming past Fakenham heading towards the sea and seeing those wide open skies. I come as a package deal with my dog Ted but have no other baggage of any kind!! I hope somebody out there will like my profile - I can't do much about the photograph and not sure how I got this old but I feel there is a bit of life left yet.

My ideal man would have a generous nature, would know who the Kinks were, would be happy in a pub environment, like good food served cheerfully and could put up with someone who although past the 'best before' date is not ready for the scrapheap quite yet. I would hope my match would be kind to waitresses, bar people, receptionists, cleaners etc and to my dog. I am happy in my own company but sometimes would like to share some adventures whether travelling or life in general. I am willing to meet just for a coffee and chat to meet anybody, and hopefully a match for me will be out there somewhere.
