They say that you get what you settle for and, in the case of relationships, I want to settle for wonderful & special. I'd like to meet somone who has more than a sneaking suspicion that they're pretty great. If you have a sort of quiet assurance about who you are, and a certainty about what you want and a confidence to go out and seek it then that works for me. Someone who feels that they are comfortable with themselves and their place in the world, and who has ambition and passion are very attractive qualities.
The reality is that meeting someone special is not guaranteed, but with a decent dose of optimism and a good attitude it's more likely than not (isn't it?) I think the greatest thing is to love and be loved in return, when each other's little quirks, weaknesses and needs are known and accepted. I'm not looking for someone who's perfect, because that would be impossible to keep up with. Someone who is perfect for me in all, or as many, aspects of life as possible would be fabulous
I'm a pretty relaxed individual, I'm thoughtful and not all that worried about having the latest car or gadget. I like to ask questions and (equally importantly) hear the answers, and I think I'm pretty calm and balanced. Romance is a big thing for me; it's neither cheesy nor old fashioned, I think it's uplifting and life affirming.
