Much overseas living has given me a large 'window' to experience so many different places, cultures and life. I miss that and warm winters!! I'm fast making up for the Covid years with new adventures - Dubai last winter, Amsterdam for Vermeer a year ago, the US last summer for a 10 week road trip to catch up with friends in Texas, the Florida panhandle, Nashville (Jackson Browne concert), Arkansas, Oregon (gorgeous coastline and wine), Northern CA (Neil Young concert) & New Mexico (eclectic art to die for)! Just finished a 6 week road trip to Spain/Portugal continuing my reconaissance from 2019! My kind of happy could be a good film/book/concert/documentary; a browse in an antiques shop/art gallery, music across all genres; classic buildings, coveting classic cars, biographies; astronomy; comedy (Chaplin to Python to Friends); watching/attending top level sporting events, walking a dog (a memory unfortunately) and hitting that pesky white ball around at places, which take your breath and sanity away! I appreciate quality over quantity, chilling without too much fuss or fancy stuff, so a bit of a paradox really.
I’m well travelled and behaved (mostly - 😊), respectful, assured, compassionate, intelligent (fairly - Lol), affectionate, young at heart romantic, caring about nature and the planet’s demise. I can even cook - beyond baked beans at least:-) I’m a low key eco warrior trying to help our planet somehow in my own small way. I'm anti racism; bigotry; inequality; intolerance; hate etc. Sometimes I dream about renovating another old, classic property after a successful, previous effort in Umbria.
I’d love to meet someone to share everything this crazy world has to offer. If you like warm, funny, tactile, down to earth, with a touch of – the unexpected, then do take the leap. BTW I'm not a lover of reality TV, fast food, tattoos, package holidays etc. 😊
