About her
Life is there for the taking, and I love life! Sharing it with a companion, who has a similar sense of humour, is my cup of tea. Amateur dramatics and singing are just a few of my interests, along with cooking, entertaining, travel, either in the UK or abroad. Open minded to a fair degree, I enjoy interesting, balanced conversations with someone who is equally interested in my views - equality in a relationship is at the top of my list of 'must haves'. Travel has always been a part of my life, and it doesn't have to be far away. It broadens your perspective on everything, it is a joy for the majority of times, interesting and usually an education at others, so sharing that journey, be it going for a countryside walk or travelling abroad with an affable, like-minded person who can laugh at the good and bad times, is a must. I am an honest person, who enjoys being a friend and helping others, sometimes just giving your time to listen is enough, other times more is needed, if so, I do my best to be that friend. My family are most important to me but in my spare time, yoga, singing with a choir and amateur dramatics keeps me out of mischief! I enjoy meals out - Italian, Greek, English, good pub food, practically any cuisine, barring sushi. An evening at the theatre to see musicals, plays, a ballet, or a comedy night out, hits the spot too as does the occasional evening going to a concert to hear a brass band or a choir concert. A cosy night in having a home cooked meal, a glass of wine and great conversation is on my tick list too, plus I love surprises!!!! On the spur of the moment decisions, like a weekend away, occasionally can be real fun.

A good sense of humour and a companion who likes conversation is a must. Keeping myself reasonably fit, I like to be with someone who has similar values. Although I have an active life, taking up new hobbies and having shared interests can add so much to a relationship. The view that women like 'strong men' is true to a point, but I would like that man to be kind, thoughtful, considerate, honest, good fun to be with, open to ideas and keen to make a relationship work together. A man who cares about the woman in his life and is prepared to show it once he gets to know her. Who would enjoy a country walk, with a pub stop on he way perhaps, as much as an occasional visit to an historic house or art gallery, or a surprise trip somewhere. Dishonest is a trait I cannot abide, so as for a deal breaker, that would be it.
