About her
I am independent, empathetic, caring and compassionate, and very active. A passionate gardener and cook, growing food to cook and eat, a lover of good food and wine and sharing it with friends.
What do I like? Being outdoors, enjoying nature and wildlife, exploring new places, peace and quiet, cooking, good wine and food, entertaining friends, having a laugh. I like travel, particularly via very small ship/expedition cruising but am not a lover of sitting on a beach doing nothing. I enjoy being on or around water on holidays, but not swimming in it! I like walking and the Lake District is one of my loves. I enjoy sport but mostly as a spectator now. For some strange reason I was once Lady Captain of my golf club ( nothing to do with the standard of my golf!) and I do still have my clubs just in case I find myself with the chance to have a round at a lovely course in Scotland or even France. I have been a big player of racquet sports and am considering taking up padel tennis.
I volunteer for the National Trust and within my community, since I retired from a senior management role with an engineering consultancy.
What don’t I like? ... cats, coconut, oysters, pears, men that talk about themselves all the time, big cruise ships, the USA, Wales, football and cricket.. make of that what you like!!

Widowed over three years ago , I would welcome a new partner in life to share my interests and life, but am happy to compromise on interests I do not share. I need my space too! My ideal match would have to be caring, loving, honest, kind and loyal, compromising and not full of themselves. A sense of humour is vital. I would love someone who is young at heart, loves being outdoors and active, especially in the garden, who enjoys good food and wine, and who likes to travel to interesting places and for the odd few days away. Having new experiences and making new memories are important to me but these would be so much better shared in a loving relationship.
